MOORE, DIANE MARIE GRAVOIS

Diane Marie Gravois Moore, the beloved wife of 41 years of Francis T. Moore, Jr., died June 27, 2018 after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born in New Orleans on February 24, 1951, the first child of Dorothy Mary Leitz and Augustin James Gravois, who predeceased her and was also predeceased by her brother Robert James Gravois. She is survived by her husband, her son Michael Robert Moore (Emily) and her daughter Erin Bridget Moore Voelkel (Lee) and her grandchildren, Luke Christian Voelkel and Margeaux Elise Moore, as well as her sister Carolyn Ann Gravois Boots (Tim) and brother James Augustin Gravois, and especially her dear friend since the third grade and sister by choice, Jaimie Gambino Bergeron, as well as her sisters by marriage, Terry Moore McAuliffe (Bill), Patricia Moore Zitzmann (Gene), Renée Moore McWhorter (Steve) and Karen Cooper Moore and brother in law, Roy V. Moore, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her grandparents were Bertha Rodrigue and Joseph Ernest Gravois and Florence Hecker and James A. Leitz. She has been a resident of Metairie most of her life. Diane was a graduate of St. Catherine of Siena School (1965), St. Mary’s Dominican High School (1969), University of New Orleans (1973) and Louisiana State University Law School (1976). She worked as an attorney as Diane M. Gravois until January of this year and was an expert in Louisiana title law. She will be missed by all that knew her and especially by those that she loved and who loved her. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003 on Tuesday, July 10 at noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Internment will be at a later date.

Francis, saddened me to read of Diane's passing. Reminds me of how important it is to keep up with friends. I may not have contacted ya'll but you were often in my memories of "good" times in law schools.sending prayers, Kim O'Dowd
