Jack Charles Siekkinen

Jack Charles Siekkinen (August 9, 1944 – January 22, 2017) Jack passed Sunday morning at The Sanctuary Hospice in New Orleans, LA. He lived out the remainder of his life surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Bertucci Siekkinen and six children; Shayna Tulanian, Davin (wife Laurie), Braden and Kallen Siekkinen , Garin Siekkinen (wife Emily) and Kaylie Wolff( Husband Charlie) and eight grandchildren; Kaysie, Tyler, Brady, Alex, Josh, Kennedi, Gloria and Simon. He graduated from St. Aloysius, received his bachelor's degree from Southeastern, his Masters degree from Loyola and his Doctorate PhD from Southern Miss. Jack Siekkinen had many talents. He was an Associate Professor at Tulane University's Graduate School of Business and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, was Chairman of The Louisiana Workforce Commission, the Director of Louisiana Furnishings Industry Assn and was the owner of Hemmerling Art Gallery in New Orleans and Hemmerling Guest House in Hammond. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Funeral Services and Mass will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Louis Cathedral 615 Pere Antoine Alley New Orleans, La 70116. Visitation will be from 8:45-9:45 am followed by mass at 10:00 am. Burial service will take place immediately after mass at Greenwood Cemetery 120 City Park Ave, (corner of Myrtle and Mercury) New Orleans, La 70119.
