Adrian Dean Cockerham was born on December 2, 1958, in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and made a home for his family and himself in Prairieville, Louisiana. He was called up to join his beloved wife, Vickie, on May 23, 2018.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, James Quincy and Agatha Cockerham, and his wife Vickie Wallet Cockerham.
Adrian was a lifelong nature lover, having worked most of his life in the Horticulture industry. He started his work career with Gulf States Utilities as a lineman in the 1970’s. A graduate of Lee High School in Baton Rouge, he received his Associates Degree in turf grass management and worked at Briarwood and Shenandoah golf courses before becoming lead ornamental grower at Plant Tech for many years, foreman for Precision Landscape, then “retiring” to work at Goodwood Hardware.
His memory lives on in the loved ones he is survived by; including his three sons Franklin Cockerham and wife Nicole of Baton Rouge, Andrew Cockerham of Baton Rouge, and Cody Cockerham of Prairieville. He is also survived by daughter Ashley Johnston and husband Derek of Prairieville, his brothers Mark Quincy Cockerham of Alabama, Timothy Cockerham and wife Marilyn of Prairieville, and his pride and joy; his four granddaughters, Emma, Isabella, Hannah and Lilliana Cockerham.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 2, 2018, at the Burden Museum and Gardens Conference Center, 4560 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, from 8:30 am-12:00 noon. A brief ceremony honoring Adrian will begin at 10:30.

I was so saddened by this news. I knew Adrian way back in the day, as they say. Adrian was a good friend of my brother, Bert Luno. I recall his wit and my Mom and Dad always sought his advice on whatever ailed their garden. At the time, Adrian was a very proud father to Frankie. All of the Corkerham family are in my prayers.
